Not every floor in a data center is a raised floor. Support corridors, electrical rooms, staging areas and loading docks are usually sealed concrete, epoxy coating, sheet vinyl or a static-dissipative tile, and each one wants a different method.
How the method is chosen
The proposal records each floor type and the cleaning approach for it. Coated and sealed floors get a low-moisture clean that will not lift or haze the coating. Dissipative and conductive flooring is cleaned only with products that the flooring manufacturer lists as compatible, because the wrong cleaner can leave a film that changes how the floor behaves. Where a site has its own flooring specification, that specification wins.
What is excluded
We do not strip, re-coat or polish floors as part of this service, and we do not make any claim about the electrical properties of a floor after cleaning. If you need a floor tested, that is a job for the flooring contractor or your own facilities engineer.
Where it fits
Floor surface cleaning is usually added to a raised floor cleaning scope or a maintenance plan so the whole route from the dock to the hall is covered in one visit. Ask for a proposal and list the floor types you have, or let us walk the building and record them.
Part of
Raised Floor Cleaning
Dry and controlled-moisture cleaning of raised access floor panels in data halls, using methods approved for the panel finish and the live equipment on top of it.
- Solid, perforated and grated panels, ramps and edge trim
- HEPA vacuuming first, then finish-appropriate surface cleaning
- Tile lifting only with your approval and in agreed bays
- No buffers, no flood mopping, no unapproved sealers
